TRUCKOMAN Wins Road Safety Award

MUSCAT — Testament to the company’s continuing efforts in the field of road safety, Truckoman was recently awarded the prestigious “Logistic Leader in Road Safety Award” at the 1st Oman Logistics Excellence Awards hosted by TransOman. Awarded exactly one week prior to Oman’s national “Road Safety Day”, Salem bin Mohammed al Nuami, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the chief guest at the event, presented this award to Manish Doshi, General Manager of Truckoman.

Truckoman also received a Certificate of Recognition presented by Warith al Kharusi, Logistics Manager and Corporate Functional Discipline Head at PDO. While receiving the award and certificate, Manish Doshi stated, “This award is a great honour to both Truckoman and the many loyal and committed Omani and expatriate employees who have been, in addition to moving drilling rigs, providing other specialized services to PDO and other companies operating in the Oil and Gas sector for over a decade in a highly challenging environment”.

He further noted that “Each Rig Move is a project in itself and Truckoman delivers about 20 to 25 such projects every month in compliance with PDO’s highly acclaimed HSE standards.” On this occasion, Chris Fidler, Group General Manager of Truckoman, commented: “Truckoman has driven over 40 Million Kilometres without Lost Time Injury (LTI) and our people are the key to achieving this milestone.” He went on to say that “Truckoman is proud to support the Ministry of Manpower and PDO’s aspirational Omanisation targets of over 80 per cent and to this end Truckoman constantly trains and develops its workforce.”
